On my spring break trip visiting family on the East Coast, my parents and I visited Philadelphia, Virginia and Washington, DC. These are my pictures of the trip. On April 9, after seeing George and Martha Washington's house at Mount Vernon, Virginia, we arrived in Washington just outside the Lincoln Memorial.
There were a lot of people at the Lincoln Memorial. We walked up the stairs and saw the impressive statue of Abraham Lincoln inside.
At the top of the stairs, I took a picture of the Washington Monument and the National Mall. We then walked all the way from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol Building.
The Capitol at the end of our walk, just before we got on the Amtrak train back to Philadelphia.
